FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Sytiva Seitz, Shana Markwis and Jessica Christ named to NFCA Division II All Region Team

MANSFIELD – Sytiva Seitz (Dallastown/Dallastown), Shana Markwis (Milford/Delaware Valley) and Jessica Christ (Dover/Dover) have been rewarded for their outstanding play this season by being voted to the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association Mid Atlantic Region Second Team.

A senior, Seitz was selected in the outfield where she started all 43 games this season. In 147 at-bats, Seitz rapped out 53 hits including six doubles, three triples and fur home runs for a .361 batting average. She also drove in 20 runs while scoring 38 times. Seitz had the 16^th highest batting average in the conference.

Seitz also earned First Team All-PSAC East honors this season.

A sophomore, Christ earned second team honors in her first season at Mansfield after transferring from NCAA Division I Monmouth. Christ started all 43 games at second base this season where she ranked fourth in the conference with a .388 batting average. In 139 at-bats, Christ had a team high 54 hits including 12 doubles, three triples and two homeruns. She was fourth in the PSAC with 40 RBI’s and ranked third in the conference in doubles.

Christ also earned First Team All-PSAC East honors this season.

 A sophomore, Markwis came on strong for the Mounties down the stretch. Shana started all 43 games in the outfield this season while compiling the third highest batting average on the team. In 141 at bats, Markwis belted 50 hits, including seven doubles, three triples, and a team high five homeruns, to finish with a .355 batting average. Markwis drove in 33 runs this season, the second highest RBI's on the team.
