For Immediate Release: Mounties Knock Off Longwood 82-67 to Earn Berth In Mansfield University/Comfort Inn Tip-Off Tournament -- Ian Conner scores 26 Points For Mountaineers

 

Mansfield -- The Mansfield University Mountaineers outscored Longwood University 30-11 over the final nine minutes of the game to rally for an 82-67 win in the opening round of the Mansfield University/Comfort Inn Tip-Off Tournament at Decker Gymnasium Friday night.

 

"It was a great win for us," said head coach Vince Alexander. "And you have to give a lot of credit to our juniors. When things really got tight Ian Connor, Brett Longpre and Glenn Jackson really step up and took charge."

 

Mansfield trailed 35-32 at halftime and 56-51 with 9:18 to play before going on a 12-0 run to take a 64-58 lead with 5:18 remaining.

 

Longwood would cut the lead to 67-63 with 3:41 to go, but the Mountaineers hit nine free throws over the final three minutes to pull out the win.

 

Ian Connor scored a game high 26 points, including 20 points in the second half and grabbed a game high eight rebounds. Connor connected on 8-12 from the field and 10-11 from the free throw line. Brett Longpre added 25 points with freshman Bill McNeil scoring 13. Corning's Glenn Jackson had nine points with eight rebounds and a blocked shot.

 

The Mountaineers will host New Jersey Tech in the championship game Saturday at 8 p.m. New Jersey Tech beat Stonehill College 70-64 in the opener.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BRETT LONGPRE` AND ALISON TAGLIAFERRI NAMED MANSFIELD UNIVERSITY MEN’S AND WOMEN’S WINTER ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

MANSFIELD – Brett Longpre` (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) and Alison Tagliaferri (Linden/Jersey Shore) have been named the 2001-2002 Mansfield University Men’s and Women’s Winter Athletes of the Year. The announcement was made at the MU Winter Sports Banquet Monday evening.

During the 2001-2002 season, Longpre’ defied the “Sophomore Jinx” by becoming one of the top players in the PSAC East.

A preseason All-PSAC East selection in voting conducted in a poll among conference head coaches, Longpre’ didn’t disappoint them or anyone else with his performance this year.

A second team All-PSAC East selection as a freshman last season, Longpre’ became one of the few players in school history to earn 1st Team All-PSAC East honors as a sophomore this year.

Not only did he lead the team in scoring for the second straight season with a 15.9 points per game average, the 6-5 shooting guard also topped the team in rebounds (109), games started (21) and minutes played.

In addition, Longpre’ ranked fifth in the PSAC East in scoring, second in 3-point field goals made (71), fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (39.7), and sixth in free throw percentage.

His nine 3-pointers against Cheyney was the most in a game in the PSAC East this season and the second most in school history. Longpre’ also recorded the two highest scoring games in the PSAC East during the 2001-2002 campaign, scoring 35 points against Roberts Wesleyan and 33 points against Cheyney.

The son of Gillian Gregory and Ken Longpre’ of Welland, Longpre’ is majoring in business management at Mansfield.

Few freshmen have had a bigger impact on any athletic program at Mansfield University as has Alison Tagliaferri this year.

In her first season of collegiate basketball, Tagliaferri produced a long list of first in Mountaineer women’s basketball history.

She became the first Mountaineer to lead the PSAC East in scoring by averaging 14.6 points per game.

She was the first player in Mountaineer history to earn PSAC East Player of the Week honors twice in season.

She was the first player in Mountaineer history to earn PSAC East Player and Rookie of the Week honors in the same season.

She was the first player in Mountaineer history to be selected to both All-PSAC East 1st Team and PSAC East Rookie of the Year honors.

She was the first player in Mountaineer women’s basketball history to be nominated for All-Regional and All-American honors in her freshman year.

In addition to those many firsts, Tagliaferri also ranked fourth in the PSAC East in field goal percentage hitting 50.4% of her shots, fifth in the PSAC East in free throw percentage (75.3%), sixth in blocked shots (28) and ninth in rebounds (7.0 rpg).

Scoring in double figures in 23 of 26 games this season, Tagliaferri and her teammates produced the second most successful season in school history.

 The daughter of Holly and Thomas Tagliaferri of Linden, Tagliaferri is an accounting major at Mansfield.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BRETT LONGPRE’ NAMED TO 1ST TEAM ALL-PSAC HONORS – SOPHOMORE EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNATION FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

MANSFIELD – Sophomore Brett Longpre` (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) has been named to 1st Team All Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East honors in voting conducted among the head basketball coaches in the PSAC East and released today.

Longpre`, a 6-5, guard, led the Mountaineers in scoring and ranked fifth in the PSAC East averaging 15.9 points per game. Longpre, who scored in double figures 19 times during the season, had the third, fourth and fifth highest scoring games in the conference scoring 35, 33, and 32 points in three different games.

 

A long distance specialist, Longpre` was third in the PSAC in 3-point field goals made (71) and fourth in the PSAC East in 3-point field goal percentage (71-179, 39.7%). He was also sixth in the PSAC East in free throw percentage, connecting on 75.8% (69-91) of his attempts.

In addition, Longpre` pulled down a team best 109 rebounds with 32 assists, 27 steals and five blocks.

Longpre` was selected to 2nd Team All-PSAC East honors as a freshman last season.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES DROP 82-80 HEARTBREAKER IN LAST SECOND – DAMAR LOPEZ SCORES 19 IN FINAL COLLEGIATE GAME

MANSFIELD – Khari McKie hit a jumper in the lane with less than a second remaining to lift Millersville University to a 82-80 over Mansfield University in the Mountaineers season finale at Decker Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

The game was close throughout with 11 ties and 15 lead changes.

With the score tied 37-37 at intermission, Millersville went on 17-8 run over the first five minutes of the second half taking a 54-45 lead with 14:26.

But the Mountaineers would chip away over the next five minutes to close the gap to 57-56 of two free throws by Brett Longpre’.

Millersville held a 80-77 lead when Brett Longpre’ was fouled on a 3-point attempt with :16 to play. Longpre’ hit all three free throws to tie the game before Millersville Khari McKie worked the ball into the paint and put up a short jumper with four-tenths of a second remaining to pull out the win.

The game was plagued by 57 fouls with the teams combining for 67 free throws.

Damar Lopez closed out his outstanding collegiate career with 19 points for the Mountaineers end his career with 1,064 points. Longpre’ also scored 19 for Mansfield with Ian Conner adding 16 and senior Andy Scott 10 in his final collegiate contest.

Touchi Udeinya scored a game high 30 points for Millersville.

The Mountaineers end the season with a 9-16 overall record and 4-8 in the PSAC East. Millersville wins the PSAC East with a 10-2 overall record and 17-9 overall mark.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES PLAYOFF HOPES DASHED IN 73-64 SETBACK AT KUTZTOWN

KUTZTOWN – The Mansfield University men’s basketball team saw their PSAC playoff hopes dashed in a 73-64 setback at Kutztown University Wednesday night.

The Mountaineers, who led just twice in the early moments of the game, were never able to get untracked and were out rebounded by a 45-24 margin.

After trailing 41-28 at halftime, the Mountaineers staged a 14-6 run over the first five minutes of the second half cutting the lead to 49-44 on a pair of free throws by Alex Goodman but could pull no closer.

Goodman scored a team high 17 points in just 15 minutes of play for the Mountaineers with Brett Longpre’ and Kris Gibbs-Smith adding 12 points each.

Vince Pease led Kutztown with 22 points while Bilal Salaam – the NCAA Division II leader in blocked shots – had nine blocks and nine rebounds.

The Mountaineers, who had to win their final two games of the season for a shot at a playoff berth, fall to 9-15 overall and 4-7 in the PSAC East. Kutztown improves to 5-19 and 2-9 in the conference.

Mansfield will close out the season this Saturday afternoon against Millersville at Decker Gymnasium.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –MOUNTIES RALLY FALLS SHORT IN LAST SECOND 77-74 HEARTBREAKER TO CHEYNEY– BRETT LONGPRE’ SCORES GAME HIGH 33 POINTS ON NINE THREE POINTERS

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University Mountaineers would stage a furious second half rally but would come up just short in a last second 77-74 heartbreaker against Cheyney in PSAC East basketball action Saturday afternoon at Decker gymnasium.

Mansfield trailed 64-51 with just over six minutes to play when the Mounties went on a torrid 21-9 run to bring the game to within one on a Brett Longpre’ (Welland, ONT/Governor Simcoe) three-pointer with 15 seconds remaining.

After two Cheyney free throws, Longpre brought the Mounties back to within one point again after hitting two foul shots to pull Mansfield to 74-75 with ten seconds remaining.

Cheyney hit 20 of 28 free throw attempts while the Mountaineers connected on 10 of 13.

On a day where Longpre’ fell one three-pointer shy of tying the school record set by Barrett Jones in 1995, it was under the basket that proved to be the hardest shot. Longpre’s difficult shot from underneath the basket with two seconds remaining fell off the rim and Cheyney’s Kharis Byrd grabbed the rebound and was fouled. Byrd made both foul shots and with only a few tenths of a second remaining on the clock Cheyney went on to seal the victory/

Andy Scott (Medina, OH/Medina) was the Mounties next highest scorer with 13 points. Kris Gibbs-Smith (Rochester, NY/Marshall) would add 11 and Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) added 10. Only six of Longpre’s 33 points came from shots other than three-pointers.

Anthony Frazier led the Wolves with 19 points.

The Mounties record now falls to 9-14 overall and 4-6 in the PSAC East while Cheyney improves to 14-8 overall and 8-3 in PSAC East games.

The Mounties will travel to Kutztown this Wednesday and then return home for the season finale at Decker Gymnasium next Saturday, February 23 against Millersville.

MANSFIELD – Brett Longpre’ (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) scored a game high 27 points as the Mansfield University men’s basketball team rallied from a nine-point second half deficit to down Bloomsburg University 71-65 in a key PSAC East matchup Wednesday evening at Decker Gymnasium.

Longpre’ connected on seven 3-pointers, including three straight late in the first half to pull the Mountaineers to within five at 40-35 at intermission.

Bloomsburg held a 59-50 lead when Glenn Jackson (Lindley,NY/Corning West) jumper with 5:03 to play that led to a 10-0 Mountaineer run and their first lead of the game when Longpre’ hit a free throw to give Mansfield it’s first lead of the game at 60-59 with 3:33 to play.

Another Longpre’ 3-pointer with 1:19 remaining gave the Mountaineers a 65-61 advantage and they hit six of nine free throws in the final :44 seconds to seal the win.

Kris Gibbs-Smith (Rochester,NY/Marshall) had 13 points with Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) adding 11 for the Mountaineers. Adam Bohman led four Bloomsburg players in double figures with 15 points.

The win keeps the Mountaineers playoff hopes alive as they move to 9-13 overall and 4-5 in the PSAC East. Bloomsburg falls to 12-11 and 5-4 in the PSAC East.

Mansfield, which will host Cheyney on Saturday, is one game behind Bloomsburg for the fourth and final spot in the PSAC playoffs.

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University freshman Kris Gibbs-Smith (Rochester,NY/Marshall) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Rookie of the Week for his outstanding efforts during the week ending 2/09/02.

Gibbs-Smith keyed Mansfield to a 19-point win over East Stroudsburg by recording his first double-double of the year.  He scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while adding three blocks and two steals in the Mountaineers' only game of the week.

For the season, Gibbs-Smith has appeared in 21 games with eight starts. He is averaging 5.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Gibbs-Smith is the son of Allen and Wahjah Smith of Rochester.

The Mountaineers are 8-13 overall this season and 3-5 in the PSAC East. They face a key game with Bloomsburg University this Wednesday night to keep their PSAC playoff hopes alive.

WEST CHESTER – West Chester shot an incredible 53 free throws, including 30 in the final 6:22 of the game to break open a one-point contest on their way to an 89-78 win over Mansfield University in a PSAC East game at Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon.

Mansfield trailed by as much as 10 points early in the first half before rallying to take a 38-32 lead at halftime when Glenn Jackson (Lindley,NY/Corning West) hit a 50-foot shot at the buzzer. The Mountaineers led by as much as 44-35 with 17:34 to play on back-to-back 3-pointers by Brett Longpre’ (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) before West Chester would pull to within one point at the 14:11 mark.

West Chester would go up by five points (63-58) with just under eight minutes to play, but Mansfield would pull to within 65-64 on a jumper by Ian Conner (Scranton/Scranton Prep) a minute later.

Over the final 6:22 of the game, West Chester would take 30 free throws – hitting 20 – while scoring just two baskets from the field. Mansfield shot eight free throws, connecting on five, over the same span.

For the game, West Chester connected on 37-53 free throws while Mansfield shot 21-28 from the line. A total of 58 fouls were called during the game.

Brett Longpre’ had a game high 20 points for the Mountaineers with freshman Kris Gibbs-Smith (Rochester,NY/Marshall) adding 12 before being one of three MU post players to foul out. Senior Alex Goodman (New Freedom/Susquehannock) had 10 points.

Ramzee Stanton led West Chester with a game high 22 points – 16 of them coming on free throws.

Mansfield falls to 7-13 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC East while West Chester improves to 13-7 and 5-1 in the PSAC East.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES FALL TO BLOOMSBURG 90-82 IN OVERTIME

BLOOMSBURG – Bloomsburg University scored the final six points in regulation and then connected on 12 of 14 free throws in overtime to outlast Mansfield University 90-82 in overtime in a PSAC East contest at Nelson Field House.

The game was a battle throughout with Mansfield holding a 26-14 lead after going on a 18-0 run midway through the first half. But Bloomsburg came right back with a 13-0 run to pull to a 29-29 tie at intermission.

Neither team was able to forge more than a three point lead for most of the second half until the Mountaineers pulled ahead 70-65 on a 3-pointer by Jason Roscoe (York/William Penn) with 2:20 to play.

Mansfield held a 72-66 lead when Brett Longpre’(Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) hit a jumper with 1:35 to play, but Bloomsburg would rally to score the final six points of regulation sending the game into overtime at 72-72.

Bloomsburg put the game away in OT by hitting on 12 of 14 free throws.

Brett Longpre’ led the Mountaineers with 18 points while Andy Scott (Medina,OH/Medina), seeing his first action since suffering an injury against East Stroudsburg three games ago, scored 17 points – all in the second half. Alex Goodman (New Freedom/Susquehannock) added 12.

Bloomsburg won the game at the free throw line, connecting on 36 off 44 attempts. Mansfield was 14 of 25 on free throw attempts.

All five Bloomsburg starters hit for double figures led by Jay DeShields and Adam Bohman with 22 points each.

Mansfield wraps up the first half of the PSAC East schedule with a 2-4 mark while falling to 7-12 overall. Bloomsburg improves 4-1 in the PSAC East and 11-8 overall.

The Mountaineers travel to West Chester on Saturday.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PARTY TIME FOR DAMAR LOPEZ AS HE SCORES HIS 1,000 POINT IN 81-77 OVERTIME WIN OVER UDC

MANSFIELD – It was “party time” for senior Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) who scored his 1,000 career point on the first basket of overtime to lift Mansfield University to a 81-77 come-from-behind win over the University of the District of Columbia at Decker Gym Monday night.

  Lopez, who is nicknamed “Party” and  entered the game needing 18 points to become the 18th player in Mountaineer men’s basketball history to reach the 1,000 milestone, was held to just three points in the first half as the Mountaineers trailed 37-34 at intermission.

  After the Mountaineers tied the game at 37-37 on a 3-pointer by Jason Roscoe, UDC would go on a 19-2 run to take a seemingly unbeatable 56-39 lead with 13:32 left.

  “I didn’t lose faith because we been in that situation before and I believed if we played hard on defense we could come back on them”, said head coach Vince Alexander.

  After coming back to tie the score at 62-62 on a layup by Kris Gibbs-Smith with 3:03 to go the Mountaineers, who were out of timeouts, fell behind 67-64 with :30 second to play.

  But Jason Roscoe buried a jumper with seven seconds left and Lopez was fouled bring the ball up court with just :04 left. Lopez made the first of two free throws to tie the game and Roscoe stole the inbound pass after a time out but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer sending the game into overtime.

  The Mountaineers never trailed in overtime with Lopez scoring eight of his game high 25 points in the final four minutes.

  “It was a wonderful way for Damar to get the 1,000,” said Alexander. “He a guy who has always been there and a part of my life since he played for me in high school. I love him and just hope what he brings to this team rubs off on our younger guys.”

  Brett Longpre’ added 14 for the Mountaineers with freshman Kris Gibbs-Smith scoring 13 points with seven rebounds. Jason Roscoe added 12.

  Kelvin Smith and Dion Thompson each scored 18 for UDC.

  Mansfield improves to 7-10 overall while UDC falls to 8-6.

CHEYNEY, PA – Sophomore Brett Longpre (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) scored a game high 32 points, but a Mansfield University men’s basketball rally came up just short in a 80-74 setback in a PSAC East contest against Cheyney University at Cope Hall Saturday afternoon.

Cheyney went on a 25-9 run over the last ten minutes of the first half to break up a close game and take a 48-31 advantage into intermission.

The Wolves would increase their advantage to 51-33 with 18:32 to play, but the Mountaineers would ride the 3-pointer, including five by Longpre’ in the second half, to tie the score at 67-67 on a 3-pointer by Brian Bryant (Philadelphia/Suffield Academy) with just under six minutes remaining.

Cheyney would retake the lead, but never by more than three points, before Longpre’ hit two free throws with 1:19 to play.

With the score 76-74, Cheyney’s Melvin Easton hit a huge 3-pointer coming out of a time out for what proved to be an insurmountable 79-74 lead with :18 to play.

Mansfield attempted  35 3-point field goals, including 8 for 15 in the second. Longpre’ connected on eight 3-pointers on his way to his 32 points.

Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) had 11 points and four assists for MU while Jason Roscoe (York/William Penn) added 10 points. Melvin Eason come off the bench to top four Cheyney players in double figures with 19 points.

The Mountaineers fall to 6-10 overall and 2-2 in the PSAC East. Cheyney improves to 8-6 and 2-1 in conference play.

Mansfield will host the University of the District of Columbia in a non-conference contest Monday at Decker Gymnasium starting at 7 p.m.

MANSFIELD – Senior guard Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) led four Mountaineers in double figures with a game high 27 points to lead Mansfield University to a 89-75 PSAC East win over East Stroudsburg at Decker Gymnasium Wednesday night.

The Mountaineers went on a 21-8 run five minutes into the game to take a 30-14 led on a pair of Brett Longpre’ free throws and would keep a double digit lead for the rest of the game.

Lopez, who scored 20 points in the second half, connected on 10-14 shots from the field including 4-5 3-point attempts as the Mountaineers shot a season high 55.2% from the floor.

Brett Longpre’ (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) had 21 points for the Mountaineers with Andy Scott (Medina,OH/Medina) and Ian Conner (Scranton/Scranton Prep) adding 10 each.

John Krimmel scored a team high 20 points for East Stroudsburg.

Mansfield improves to 2-1 in the PSAC East and 6-9 overall while East Stroudsburg falls to 3-11 and 0-1 in conference play.

The Mountaineers will travel to Cheyney this Saturday.

SLIPPERY ROCK – Slippery Rock rallied from a 17-2 first half deficit to down Mansfield University 73-67 in a PSAC crossover contest at Morrow Field House Sunday afternoon.

Mansfield score the first 12 points of the game taking a 12-0 lead with 14:57 remaining on a layup by freshman Kris Gibbs-Smith (Rochester,NY/Marshall) and increased that lead to 17-2 on a layup by Andy Scott (Medina,OH/Medina) with 11:16 to go in the first half.

But after a timeout, Slippery Rock went on a 26-13 run over the next 10 minutes as the Mountaineers held on to a 30-28 lead at intermission.

Both teams battled through the second half with 18 lead changes and five ties. After trailing late in the game, the Mountaineers took a 65-63 lead on a jumper by Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) with 1:36 to play. But Slippery Rock would hit 6-8 free throws over the final :25 seconds of the game

Damar Lopez led the Mountaineers with 16 points while Ian Conner (Scranton/Scranton Prep) had 12 points and a game high nine rebounds. Andy Scott added 11 points.

Aaron Epps led Slippery Rock with a game high 27 points.

Mansfield falls to 5-9 overall and will host East Stroudsburg this Wednesday night in a PSAC East matchup.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: EDINBORO RALLIES FOR 77-72 WIN OVER MOUNTAINEERS – DAMAR LOPEZ SCORES 19 IN LOSING EFFORT

EDINBORO – The Mansfield University Mountaineers were outscored 41-29 in the second half in suffering a 77-72 setback to Edinboro University in a PSAC crossover contest at McComb Field House Saturday afternoon.

Behind Damar Lopez (York/William Penn), who scored 10 of his team high 19 points in the first half, the Mansfield took a 43-36 lead at intermission.

But the Mountaineers would go stone-cold from the field in the second half hitting just 29% (10-34) of their shots while  Edinboro connected on 48% of their second half field goals.

Edinboro held the Mountaineers scoreless for the first five minutes of the second going on a 12-0 run to take a 48-43 lead on Dan Grabill’s 3-pointer. The score remained close with Edinboro never leading by more than seven points.

Mansfield cut the lead to 74-72 with :34 left to play when Ian Conner (Scranton/Scranton Prep) hit a layup, was fouled and made the layup.

After Dan Grabill hit two free throws for Edinboro three seconds later, the Mountaineers missed three 3-point attempts in the final :25 seconds.

Ian Conner scored 15 for the Mountaineers with Brett Longpre` (Welland,ONT/Governor Simcoe) adding 11.

Mansfield falls to 5-8 overall while Edinboro improves to 8-5.

  MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University Mountaineer shot a season low 30.0% from the field, including just 25% in the second half in falling to West Chester University 67-55 in a PSAC East contest at Decker Gymnasium Wednesday night.

  Ramzee Stanton scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half for West Chester to break a 29-29 halftime tie.

  Brett Longpre’ (Welland,ONT/Notre Dame) tied Stanton for game high honors for the Mountaineers with 21 points including four 3-pointers. Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) added nine.

  The Mountaineers fall to 5-7 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC East while West Chester improves to 8-5 and 1-0 in the PSAC East.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIE MEN FALL TO IUP 103-87 – DAMAR LOPEZ PACES MU WITH CAREER HIGH 31 POINTS

MANSFIELD – Despite a career best 31 point effort from Damar Lopez, the Mansfield University men’s basketball team could not overcome IUP’s inside game in falling 103-87 in a PSAC crossover contest at Decker Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon.

The game was close throughout most of the first half with the Mountaineers tailing 32-29 on a free throw by Andy Scott with 6:26 remaining in the first half.

But a 19-8 run would give IUP a 51-37 halftime advantage.

IUP used it’s inside game and five NCAA Division I transfers in Leon Piper (Delaware State), Aaron Faulkner (Monmouth), Keenan Holmes (Rice), Wes Layton (Campbell), and Dennis Mims (Virginia Tech) to overpower the Mountaineers on the boards (51-33).

The contest featured 54 fouls and a combined 82 free throws between the two team with IUP connecting on 37-48 from the line and Mansfield 23-34.

Damar Lopez (York/William Penn) hit 14-14 from the free throw line on his way to a game high 31 points with Ian Conner (Scranton/Scranton Prep) recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Roscoe (York/William Penn) added 14 points with Jason Clayton (Philadelphia/CCP) a season high 13.

Leon Piper led five IUP players in double figures with 25 points.

The Mountaineers fall to 5-6 overall while IUP improves to 10-1.
