FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mountie men fall to St. Bonaventure in preseason exhibition game

OLEAN, NY – Junior Chris Pender (Elkins Park/Cheltenham) led four Mansfield players in double figures with 15 points in a 86-63 loss to NCAA Division I St. Bonaventure in a preseason exhibition game Friday evening in the Reilly Center.

St. Bonaventure shot 55% from the floor in the first half in building a 49-23 halftime lead but Mansfield actually outscored the Bonnies in the second half by a 40-37 margin..

Sophomore Yuseff Carr (New York, NY/ East NY Transit Tech)had a strong inside game scoring 14 points while freshman Tony Fannick (Milton, PA/Milton) added 12 points. Junior Cory Boone (Howard, PA/Bald Eagle) added 11 points and seven rebounds.

Andrew Nicholson led four St. Bonaventure players in double figures with a game-hign 16 points.

Mansfield will open the 2008-09 season next Saturday when they host Seaton Hill as 7 p.m. in Decker Gymnasium.
