FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield improves to 10-2 with 90-64 win at Penn State–DuBois
DuBOIS – Kevin Hill led four Mountaineers in double-figures with 22 points to pace Mansfield to a 90-64 win at Penn-State-DuBois in a non-conference game Wednesday evening at DuBois.
Mansfield started slowly trailing for the first 10 minutes until Hill connected a 3-pointer giving the Mountaineers there first lead of the game at 20-17.
The Mountaineers lead 37-33 at halftime with Hill scoring13 points of his 22 points in the first half.
Mansfield led 62-52 with ten minutes remaining in the game when the Mountaineers used a pressing defense to go on a 28-12 run to end the game.
Hill hit 9-13 shots from the floor including 4-7 three-pointers. Ryan Callahan scored 14 points with John Hampton scored 12 points and Chris Pender 10.
Dylan Howard paced Penn State – DuBois (6-6) with 19 points.
Mansfield travels to Edinboro and Slippery Rock this weekend before opening PSAC East play at Kutztown on Wednesday.
