FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kutztown hangs on for 94-91 win over Mansfield

KUTZTOWN --  Kevin Hill scored 24 points but Kutztown held off a late Mansfield rally to register a 94-91 win in a PSAC East game Wednesday night in Decker Gymnasium.

Kutztown held a 36-34 lead at halftime and held a 79-69 lead with four minutes to play before Mansfield rallied behind Hill and John Hampton close to 91-88 with 27 second left. But Kutztown connected on 7-8 free throws in the last minute including 3-4 in the final 25 seconds to preserve the win.

Hill connected on eight 3-pointers for all of his 24 points. Hampton scored 16 points while freshman Yuseff Carr added 12 points.

Kutztown was led by Dave Ben with a game-high 25 points including 13-14 on free throws. Nate Edwards and Stephen Dennis each scored 17 points.

Kutztown keeps on top of the PSAC East with a 7-1 conference mark while Mansfield falls to 3-5 in the PSAC East and 15-8 overall.

The Mountaineers travel to Cheyney this Saturday.
