FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Playoff Picture: Win and In for the Mountaineer Men

MANSFIELD – The cloudy playoff picture in the PSAC East is a bit more clear now after East Stroudsburg defeated Kutztown Friday evening in a thrilling finish to the season for each squad.

The Mountaineers are clearly in the driver's seat with a "win and in" situation entering the final game of the season Saturday afternoon at Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg cannot advance to the playoffs regardless of the outcome of tomorrow's contest as East Stroudsburg has knocked them out of contention.

In the previous meeting between both teams, Mansfield defeated Bloomsburg 85-82 in a tightly contested overtime game at Decker Gymnasium on January 31st.

The Mountaineers can only secure the number four seed now that ESU has defeated Kutztown.

The playoff scenario in the East is as follows:

Bloomsburg and West Chester have been eliminated from contention which means regardless of the contest between Millersville and West Chester tomorrow, the Mountaineers would travel to Millersville for the opening round of the playoffs if they defeat Bloomsburg tomorrow. Mansfield is eliminated from contention with a loss.
