-- Kevin Hill topped four Mounties in
double figures with 23 points, but
West Liberty
made 25 more free throws in a 101-90 win at
Wheeling Jesuit Main Street Classic Saturday afternoon.
Mansfield
(2-8) trailed 48-40 at halftime and the
Mountaineers were whistled for 34 fouls to
West Liberty
's 19. Three players, Brandon Lawley, Brandon
Smith and Chris Pender fouled out of the game for
Mansfield
with
West Liberty
hitting 35-43 of their free throws to
Mansfield
's 10-17.
In
addition to Hill's 23 point effort, Lawley added 17 points with Terrance
Williams scoring 13 and Pender, who also dished out a career best eight assists,
11 points.
Chris
Banal led five
West Liberty
(8-2) players in double figures with 27 points
with Dan Binggeli adding 22 points.
The Mountaineers are off
until they travel to California (PA) on Jan. 8.
