FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD MEN TO HOST UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO IN PRESEASON EXHIBITION GAME ADMISSION FREE WITH DONATION TO FOOD BANK MANSFIELD - The Mansfield University men's basketball team will give area fans a free preview, and exposure to a foreign culture, when they host the University of Waterloo in a preseason exhibition game this Saturday, Nov. 13. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Decker Gymnasium. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to bring three cans of food or make a cash donation to the Mansfield Food Pantry. A table will be set up for donations in the lobby of Decker Gymnasium. The exhibition should be a good test for the Mountaineers. Waterloo is the 8th ranked team in Canada this season and have already posted a 5-2 record. They will play against NCAA Division I Cornell or Friday before traveling to Mansfield and then play at Division I Colgate on Sunday. After losing four starters and 72% of the scoring from the PSAC's top offensive team, the 2004-05 Mountaineers will feature a new look in personal, but same offensive philosophy. The game was arranged through the assistance of the Mansfield University Canadian Studies Program. |
