Major League Baseball Draws Large Group of Hopeful Big Leaguers to Mansfield – More than 100 Players Attend MLB Tryout

MANSFIELD – More than 100 hopeful future major leaguers attended Thursday Major League Tryout at Mansfield’s Kelly Field.

The MLB tryout was originally scheduled for Mansfield University’s Shaute Field but was moved to downtown Kelly Field after heavy rains Wednesday evening.

Scouts for Major League Baseball were pleased with the turnout of players from all over the Northeast United States and Canada vying for the chance to showcase their skills.

MLB territorial scouts will share their reports from Thursday’s tryout with all 30 Major League teams.
