Former MU Sports Information Student-Assistant Named Interim SID at Millersville

Marci Lippert, Mansfield University '04, was named the interim Sports Information Director at Millersville University. Marci worked in the sports information department at Mansfield while she was here, managing her time between work, school, and sports.

Lippert was the captain of the Field Hockey team, and a four year letter winner. She was part of the memorable 2001 team that won the ECAC Championship.

After graduating from Mansfield, she took an internship at the University of Delaware working as the head contact for multiple sports. After one year as the intern at  U. Del, she was chosen as the G.A. at Millersville.

With Millersville in a transition period between Sports Information Directors, Marci was once again promoted. She will serve as the acting SID for the remainder of the summer, until a permanent replacement is assigned, at which time she will resume her duties as the GA, attending classes and working towards her masters degree, while assisting the permanent SID.

Marci joins a combination of former student assistants at Mansfield that are currently still working in the business. Mike Kane continues to work for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, as a Media Relations Coordinator.

Within the PSAC, Josh Leiboff has been the Sports Information Director at Kutztown University for eight years.

Sara Day works as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Loyola and Kristina Peterson is the Director of Media Relations for the Mid-Continent Athletic Conference
