FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Former Mountaineer Standout Brett Longpre' Joins Coaching Staff at Greensboro College

MANSFIELD – Brett Longpre' has been named an assistant men’s basketball coach at Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Longpre' graduated in 2004 from Mansfield where he closed his career as the second leading scorer in Mountaineer history with 1765 points. Longpre' also remains the leader in three point baskets during a career with an impressive 301 three-pointers. A business management major, Longpre' was a two-time athlete-of-the-year and is the only MU player to score 1700 points and grab 500 rebounds.

Brett played professionally with the Milton Keynes Lions of the British Basketball League in the 2004-05 season where he averaged 19 points per game. He also played in the summer of ’04 for the Niagara Gamblers of the Ontario Professional Basketball Association.

A native of Welland, Ontario, Canada, Longpre' joins the staff of second year Head Coach Bryan Galuski at Greensboro. Greensboro plays in the NCAA Division III.

Longpre' and his wife, Jennifer, live in Greensboro.
