TRAVIS MOTLEY SHINES IN AFL2 DEBUT

Former Mansfield
quarterback Travis Motley made
another jump in his football career as he made his first start as an Arkansas
Twister of the Arena Football League 2 (AFL2) on Sunday afternoon.
Motley,
who was previously with the Myrtle Beach Stingrays of the National Indoor
Football League (NIFL), threw for 323 yards on 20 of 42 passing which including
five touchdowns and two interceptions.
Despite a stellar performance in his debut, Motley and the Twisters fell short
to the Albany Conquest 66-54.
This past year at
Mansfield
, Motley had one of the best seasons for a quarterback in
school history. He directed the Mountaineers to an 8-3 record, completing
124-of-253 passes for 1,950 yards with 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions.
He
ended his collegiate career as the Mountaineers all-time leading passer
completing 618-of-1,221 attempts for 7,547 yards and 62 touchdowns.
