DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SOPHOMORE DEFENSIVE TACKLE HELPS MOUNTIES TO
FIRST SHUTOUT SINCE 1996
MANSFIELD – Mansfield University
sophomore defensive tackle Mike Donati (Old Forge/Old Forge) was
named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division
Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in Mansfield’s
20-0 win over Bowie State Saturday afternoon.
Donati was credited
with a team high nine tackles including 2.5 for a loss. He also recorded a sack,
batted down a pass and had a sack.
The shutout was the first for the Mountaineers since the 1996 season. The son of Angie and Frank Donati of Old Forge, Mike is majoring in elementary education.
