Bennett and McNeal Set New School Records in Win over Cheyney

Records continued to fall in Mansfield’s 48-24 win over Cheyney with both Joe Bennett and Poohbear setting new standards.

Bennett caught three passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns to break Mark Doherty record of 906 receiving yards in a season set in 1994. Bennett now has 999 along with a school record 15 touchdowns this season. McNeal scored five touchdowns to set a new school record for touchdowns in a game and rushed for 175 yards to become the first person in school history to surpass the 1,500 yard milestone in a season. McNeal has scored a school record 19 touchdowns.
