FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD’S POOHBEAR McNEAL NAMED PSAC EAST OFFENSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS SEASON – FRESHMAN SETS NEW SCHOOL MARK WITH 338 ALL-PURPOSE YARDS IN WIN OVER LOCK HAVEN

MANSFIELD – Freshman Poohbear McNeal (Orlandohas been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in Mansfield ’s 27-23 victory over Lock Haven.

McNeal earlier in the week was named PSAC East Offensive Player of  The Week for the second time this season

McNeal accounted for all four Mountaineer touchdowns in the game rushing for 219-yards on 33 carries including three touchdowns and returning a kickoff 88-yards for a score. He also caught a pass for seven yards and returned a punt for five yards for a school record 334 yards in total offense.

The NCAA Division II leader in all-purpose yardage averaging 253.8 yards per game, McNeal also leads the PSAC in rushing averaging 168.5 yards per game. He has 1,015 all-purpose yards through the first four games of the season.

Mansfield is 4-0 on the season for the first time since 1994 and travels to Millersville this Saturday for the opening contest of the PSAC East season.
