FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Jamar Foulks Named to 2006 D2football.com All-Northeast Region Team

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University standout Jamar Foulks (Pittsburgh/Westinghouse) has been selected to the 2006 D2football.com First-Team All-Northeast Region squad.

Foulks was named to First Team honors by the staff of D2football.com based on input from coaches and sports information directors across the country.

A four-year starter on the offensive line for the Mountaineers, Foulks has played center for three seasons and offensive tackle in 2005.

The NCAA Division II Northeast Region is comprised of 33 schools throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the New England area.

The 6-3, 340 senior was a First Team All-PSAC East selection in 2003 and 2004 and Second Team selection in 2005. Foulks has also earned post and pre season All-American honors during his career.

This recognition joins other post-season honors Foulks has garnered this year such as being selected as a pro hopeful on www.D2football.com's list of Division II athletes who have the opportunity to play at the next level.

Foulks was selected to play in the East Coast Bowl, where he met and worked out with scouts from all major professional branches of football.

Earning first-team All-Northeast Region honors now enables him to be voted on for All-American honors by d2football.com. The All-American voting will begin early 2006.
