FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MU’s Keith Slezak Named to "Don Hansen's Football Gazette" NCAA Division II All-Northeast Region Team

The post season honors continue to pour in for the MVP of the Mountaineer football program -- Keith Slezak.

Slezak was named to ESPN the Magazine's All-Academic team after the football season ended, was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team, and was also voted Most Valuable Player at the Mansfield Fall Sports Banquet.

The senior elementary education major can add another honor to his ongoing list of achievements this year as he has been named to the second team defense for the "Don Hansen's Football Gazette" NCAA Division II All-Northeast Region Team.

Slezak finished his senior campaign at Mansfield in stellar fashion recording 72 tackles on the season, including 39 solo. He had 5.0 tackles for a loss totaling 36 lost yards. Slezak proved his abilities at all realms of defense as he recorded 1.5 sacks, an interception, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He finishes his career with 171 total tackles including 85 solo.

Keith is a Mansfield University Presidential and PSAC Scholar Athlete.
