FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO FIRST IN THE NATION, SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY

MANSFIELD – At Shippensburg University, Mansfield University field hockey falls 7-0 against Shippensburg University. Shippensburg is ranked first in the nation.

Mansfield junior Amy Laubach’s (Mifflinville/Central Columbia) goal from junior Kristen Campbell (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) put the Mounties on the board in the first period and was the only goal for the Mounties.  Senior Heather Long (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) had recorded 37 saves for the game, bringing her total saves for the season to 252. 

Mansfield’s record is now 3-11, 3-9.  Their next game is October 16^th when they travel to East Stroudsburg University for a 4pm game.
