MANSFIELD
– At Spaulding Field,
Mansfield
drops a PSAC match-up against Bloomsburg. The
Huskies are ranked first in the nation with an 8-0 record. Mansfield’s overall record is 1-8, after the 8-0 deficit to Bloomsburg.
In today’s match
Mansfield
had six shots against Bloomsburg, who has allowed seven opponents to only shoot
the ball a total of 36 times. Freshman
Alissa
Gallagher (
Clarks
Summit/Abington Heights), who has scored two goals on the season for
Mansfield
, had two shots. Senior goalie Heather
Long (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) had 23 saves against the Huskies and has
accumulated a total of 170 saves for the season.
In the second period
Mansfield
slowed down Bloomsburg’s offense allowing them to only shoot the ball 17
times and score two goals.
Mansfield’s next game is September 27th, when they travel to
Millersville University for a noon
game-time.
