FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO NATIONALLY RANKED EAST STROUDSBURG UNIVERSITY

MANSFIELD – At Mansfield , the Mounties fall to East Stroudsburg University , who is currently ranked fifth in the nation.  The Mounties limit the Warriors to three goals.  In the second period Mansfield shut the Warriors out.  Senior Heather Long (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) recorded 23 saves on the day.  Long has stopped the ball 111 times this season.  In the last three games Mansfield has faced teams ranked second, third, and fifth in the nation.  The Mounties record is currently, 1-5 overall and they are 0-3 in the conference.

Mansfield ’s next game is Saturday, September 20^th when they travel to Indiana University of PA for a 1:00pm game-time.
