RELEASE DATE: 9/08/09 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield No.9 in latest NCAA Division II National Soccer Poll
Mansfield, which was also ranked No.9 in the preseason poll, is currently 2-1 on the season with wins over St. Michael’s and Southern Connecticut and an 8-5 setback to No. 2 ranked UMASS-Lowell last Saturday. The Mountaineers have been led in the early season by freshmen Kristy Tutorow and Kristin Grunza who have combined for nine goals on the season. Sophomore Jessie Wolski has three goals. Mansfield will travel to No. 10 ranked IUP on Wednesday before hosting No. 5 Mercyhust on Saturday at noon.
