FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield field hockey ranked #9 in this week’s STX/NFHCA Poll

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University field hockey team is ranked ninth in the nation is this week’s STX/NFHCA NCAA Division II National Coaches Poll released today.

Despite a 5-6 overall record, Mansfield owes it ranking to a tough schedule. Four of Mansfield’s six losses have come to nationally ranked teams including a 3-0 setback to #1 ranked IUP on Saturday. Mansfield also lost to NCAA Division I Bryant University.

Mansfield will return to action later when they travel to Mercyhurst on Saturday night and then play Bellarmine University at Mercyhurst on Sunday
