FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Field hockey falls 8-0 to top ranked Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG – The Mansfield University field hockey team suffered an 8-0 setback at #1 Bloomsburg Thursday afternoon.

Bloomsburg got two goals each from Jamie Vanartsdalen and Samantha Kropa. Vanartsdalen become became NCAA Division II all-time leader with 94 goals.

Mansfield was outshot 24-2 in the game including 13-0 in the first half. Senior goalie Brianna DeLuca recorded a season-best 15 saves in the game.

Mansfield falls to 5-3 while Bloomsburg improves to 8-0.

Mansfield will host Millersville Saturday at noon.
