FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Courtney Grunza and Brittany Kostishion named to All-American field hockey team

MANSFIELD – Juniors Courtney Grunza (Nicholson/Lackawanna Trail) and Brittany Kostishion (Perkasie/Pennridge) have been named to 2008 Longstreth/NFHCA Division II Second Team All-American honors.

The 2008 All-American honors were released today by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Both were also named to All-PSAC West honors earlier this month.

Grunza, a three-year starter at back, has been the mainstay of the Mountaineer defense for the past two seasons earning All-PSAC honors in each. Grunza started all 19 games this season and added two assists in addition to her defensive play.

Kostishion, a two-year starter at midfield, has earned All-PSAC honors in each of the past two seasons. Kostishion, a starter in all 19 games this season, scored two goals and added an assist this year.
