FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield field hockey moves up to #8 in latest STX/NFHCA NCAA Division II National Coaches Poll

MANSFIELD -- The Mansfield University field hockey team moved up one spot to #8 on this week's STX/NFHCA NCAA Division II National Coaches Top Ten Poll released today.

Mansfield is currently 9-6 on the season and 6-6 in the PSAC, one game in front of #10 Shippensburg for the fourth and final spot in next week's PSAC playoffs. The Mountaineers host #3 ranked Kutztown (16-2, 10-2) on Wednesday afternoon, host Houghton in a non-conference game on Thursday and close out the regular season by hosting Slippery Rock (1-15, 1-11) on Saturday.

Shippensburg's final two conference games are against #1 ranked IUP (14-2, 11-1) and #2 Bloomsburg (15-2, 10-2).

If Mansfield earns a playoff spot they would travel to the PSAC's top-seeded team which will host the PSAC Championship tournament.
