Mountie Field Hockey Playoff Bound

The Mansfield University field hockey  team reached a historic milestone in program history by earning its first ever PSAC playoff berth.

The Mountaineers 5-0 win over Slippery Rock combined with East Stroudsburg’s 2-1 overtime loss to Bloomsburg clinched the fourth playoff spot.

Mansfield will play #1 ranked and seeded Bloomsburg in the opening round of the playoff on Friday, Nov. 3 at Bloomsburg starting at 4 p.m.. Shippensburg and IUP will meet in the other semi-final game.

The winners will play for the PSAC Championship on Saturday.
