Mountie Field Hockey Host Kutztown in Key PSAC Matchup – SPCA Day at Spaulding Field MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University field hockey team, ranked #10 in the latest STX/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, will host Kutztown University in game with possible PSAC playoff implications Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Spaulding Field. It is also SPCA Day at the field hockey pitch with boxes placed throughout the stands to collect dog and cat food, pet toys and bedding and other pet items that will be donated to the local SPCA. The Mountaineer vaulted back into the national rankings after a stunning 3-1 over #2 ranked Shippensburg last Saturday. Mansfield and Kutztown are still in the hunt for a PSAC playoff berth, trailing East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg for third place by two games in the win column. Juniors Ryanne Higgins (9th, 23) and Keely Jarrett (10th, 22) rank in the top ten in the conference in points while freshman Breanne Tobin is 7th in goals (10). Sophomore goalkeeper Brianna DeLuca tops the PSAC in saves with 138.
