FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES DROP 10-0 DECISION TO #1 RANKED SHIPPENSBURG

SHIPPENSBURG – Shippensburg, the #1 ranked team in NCAA Division II, rebounded from its first loss of the season with a convincing 10-0 win over Mansfield in PSAC field hockey contest at the Robb Sports Complex Tuesday afternoon.

Shippensburg, which had lost 3-1 to #3 Bloomsburg on Saturday, scored a school record 10 goals in improving to 17-1 overall and 12-1 in conference play.

Mansfield, which dropped a 2-1 decision to Shippensburg earlier in the season, had a three game winning streak snapped with the loss and falls to 6-11 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
