FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FIELD HOCKEY DROPS 7-4 SHOOT OUT TO MILLERSVILLE – RYANNE HIGGINS SCORES TWICE FOR MANSFIELD

MILLERSVILLE – Mansfield spotted Millersville a 5-0 lead before coming back to drop a 7-4 decision in PSAC field hockey Saturday afternoon at Millersville.

Jaclyn Kutesza had a hat trick for Millersville which took a 5-0 lead in the first half before Mansfield scored two in the last three minutes of the half on a goals by Keely Jarrett and Ryanne Higgins to trail 5-2 at intermission.

Millersville would score twice again early in the second half, but the Mountaineers came back with Higgins scoring her second goal of the game and Shana Markwis adding another unassisted goal.

Millersville held a 21-15 shot and 20-13 corner advantage.

Mansfield falls to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC. Millersville improves to 1-2 and 1-1 in the PSAC.
