FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES SUFFER 7-1 SETBACK TO #6 IUP – RYANNE HIGGINS SCORES FIFTH GOAL OF SEASON

INDIANA, PA – Mansfield’s Ryanne Higgins scored the games first goal, but IUP scored the last seven including five in the second half to post a 7-1 win in PSAC field hockey at IUP Wednesday afternoon.

Higgins scored an unassisted goal in the 13^th minute of the game, but IUP came roaring back with seven straight goals including a hat trick by Kandice Pyles.

IUP, ranked 6^th in the nation in the latest NFHCA Division II poll, had a 34-8 advantage in shots and 10-4 advantage in corners in improving to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC.

Mansfield falls to 3-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
