FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIE FIELD HOCKEY TEAM NAMED ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM BY NFHCA – SEVEN MOUNTAINEERS EARN NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD RECOGNITION

MANSFIELD -- The Mansfield University field hockey team has been awarded National Academic Team honors by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

To be considered for National Academic Team honors, a team must achieve a 3.0 grade point average for the first semester of the 2004-05 academic.  

The 18-member team maintained a better than 3.0 grade point average as a group with Amanda Bliss, Nicole Dann, Holly Frederickson, Alissa Gallagher, Ryanne Higgins, Keeley Jarrett and Brianna Strope also earning NFHCA NCAA Division II National Academic Squad honors.  

To be considered for NFHCA Academic Squad honors a player must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade point averaging through the first semester of the 2004-05 academic year.
