FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD FALLS TO #2 RANKED BLOOMSBURG 9-1 IN FIELD HOCKEY

BLOOMSBURG – The Mansfield University field hockey team played a tough first half before falling to #2 ranked Bloomsburg 9-1 in a PSAC field hockey contest Wednesday afternoon.

Mansfield trailed just 3-1 at halftime on an unassisted goal by Alissa Gallagher.

Bloomsburg held a 32-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Bloomsburg improves to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC. Mansfield falls to 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

The Mountaineers will host Millersville on Saturday at Spaulding Field.
