FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES DAN YODER NAMED PSAC EAST PITCHER OF THE WEEK – FRESHMAN 4-1 ON SEASON FOR MANSFIELD

MANSFIELD – Freshman Dan Yoder (Montoursville/Williamsport) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week for his outstanding performance over the first three weeks of the 2003 baseball season.

Over that span, Yoder compiled a 4-1 record with a 3.18 ERA. He has appeared in six games with four starts and one complete game. In 28.1 innings worked, Yoder has struck out 21 batters while allowing 24 hits. Opponents are batting just .235 against him.

  In his last outing, Yoder picked up the win in a 4-3 victory over #23 ranked Slippery Rock. In five innings, he allowed four hits with four strikeouts.

  He is the son of Windy and Dan Yoder of Montoursville.
