FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DAN YODER NAMED PSAC EAST ROOKIE OF THE YEAR – BRETT BROWN AND YODER BOTH NAMED TO ALL-PSAC EAST HONORS

  MANSFIELD - Mansfield University baseball standouts Dan Yoder (Mountoursville/Williamsport) and Brett Brown (Bellfonte/Bellfonte) have been named to All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division honors. The All-PSAC selections were chosen by the PSAC head coaches and released today. 

  A senior preseason All-American, Brown was among the conference leaders in home runs (8), and runs batted in (34).  In 148 at-bats, Brown pounded out 47 hits to post a .318 batting average along with a team high slugging percentage of .514.

It marks the second straight season Brown has been awarded All-PSAC East honors.

  A freshman pitcher, Yoder tied for the conference lead in wins with nine setting a new school record for wins by a freshman. He also ranked among the conference leaders in appearances (15), starts (10) and innings pitched (64.2).

Yoder finished the season with an overall record of 9-3 and 4.31 ERA. He struck out 47 batters while issuing 28 walks.

  The Mountaineers finished the season with a record of 24-21.
