IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES JUMP BACK INTO NCAA DIVISION II BASEBALL POLL
MANSFIELD
– After a three-week absence, the Mansfield University baseball team jumped
back into the Collegiate Baseball/NCAA Division II National Baseball Poll.
Mansfield is tied for 30th in the nation in the poll released today.
The
Mountaineers, who were ranked as high as 26th during the preseason,
won three of four games during the week to improve to 13-8 overall on the
season. Mansfield’s 13 wins include victories over #10 ranked Missouri-St.
Louis, #22 ranked Ashland (OH) and #23 ranked Slippery Rock.
Mansfield
will open the PSAC East season when they host Shippensburg in a doubleheader at
Shaute field on Wednesday.
