2008 - Starting in
almost all 36 games that he appeared in, Tony
finished with a good year behind the plate ... on April Fool's Day last year he went to Lock
Haven and belted two hits, including a home run
and added 4 RBI and 2 runs scored ... also led all PSAC catchers in runners caught stealing.
2007 -
Played in five games while starting one ... went 1-3
with a run scored on the season ... 2007
MU Presidential Scholar Athlete.
2006 - Appeared in 16 games including two
starts as a freshman ... three hits include a
triple with one RBI ... went 1 for 2 with a double
against Clarion University.
The Book on Battisti – Tony will be the starting
catcher for Mansfield this season ... played
summer ball for Elmira Pioneers in New York
Collegiate League .... was 1st team all-conference
in his junior and senior seasons at Horseheads
High School ... was a catcher in high school but
also played second and third base ... MU
