FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Eric Rosenberger named PSAC East Pitcher of the Week

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University standout Eric Rosenberger (Dillsburg) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Division Pitcher of the Week for his outstanding performance the week ending 4/19/09.

Rosenberger helped propel the Mountaineers backing into the PSAC playoff picture by winning games against Shippensburg and Millersville during the week.

The junior lefthander allowed just three earned runs over 13.2 innings of work during the week for a 1.98 ERA. He gave up 12 hits while striking out five and walking four. In a 7-1 at Millersville, Rosenberger threw a complete game, scattering four hits while striking out five.

For the season, Rosenberger is 6-2 in nine starts with a 3.70 ERA.

Mansfield host Lock Haven in a doubleheader on Tuesday before ending the regular season with four games against East Stroudsburg Friday and Saturday
