FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield baseball sixth in latest regional ranking

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University baseball team is ranked sixth in the latest NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional rankings.

The rankings were released today by the NCAA.

The top sixth team in the region will advance to the NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional Championship Tournament with the winner earning a berth in the NCAA Division II World Series.

Mansfield will wrap up its regular season this Friday and Saturday with four games against Bloomsburg. The Mountaineers will host Bloomsburg in a doubleheader at Shaute Field on Friday starting at 1 p.m. and travel to Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Mansfield is currently tied for third in the PSAC East with Kutztown with an 8-8 division record. West Chester and Millersville are tied for first place at 10-6.

The top three teams from both the East and West Divisions will earn berths to the PSAC Championship Tournament starting on April 30 in Lancaster.
