FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield Baseball Team Marks 25th Anniversary of Hosting Kid's Night Out

MANSFIELD -- The Mansfield University baseball program will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its wildly popular Kid's Night Out program when it host the first Kid's Night Out of the year on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Decker Gymnasium.

Kid's Night Out, which has been featured in Sports Illustrated and nationally by Associated Press, has been a staple in the lives of area kids and parents for more than a generation.

Activities feature old favorites such as basketball, swimming, volleyball, games, music and much, much more.  The concession stand will also be open all night.

The entire program is totally supervised by the MU Baseball Team who are Act 34 certified, with certified lifeguards at the pool.  The purpose of the program is to offer a community service for all parents in the area, and give young people a chance to use the excellent facilities at Decker Gym.  Any profit realized from this event will be used to help defray the costs of Mansfield University Baseball Team’s trip to Florida.

The event will be open to boys and girls from the ages of 5 - 18.  Parents may drop off their children at Decker Gym Lobby anytime after 6:00 pm that evening.  Parents my pick up their children anytime before 9:30 pm.  The cost will be seven dollars per child with a special family rates available. The rate is much lower than the cost of a baby sitter, and a whole lot more fun for the kids,
