RELEASE DATE: 3/21/06 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Ninth in This Week’s NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional Poll MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University baseball team rode their current hot steak to a ninth place ranking in this week’s National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional Poll. The Mountaineers are 13-9 overall on the season but have 11 of their last 13 games after starting the season off with a 2-7 mark. Mansfield has appeared in the national or regional rankings every season since 1992. The Mountaineers travel to California (PA) this Saturday before hosting California in a doubleheader on Sunday at Joe Shaute Field.
