FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES POWER PAST MERRIMACK – HOSHAUER HITS GRAND SLAM

FT. MYERS, FL – D.J. Hoshauer blasted a grand slam to power Mansfield past Merrimack 15-5 in baseball action at Ft. Myers, FL last Thursday night.

Hoshauer hit his fifth home run in the last five days and sixth on the season with the bases loaded in the second inning and the Mountaineers never looked back in picking out their sixth win in nine game.

Hoshauer was 3-5 with five RBI’s. Eric Baker also hit a home run and drove in two runs as the Mountaineers pounded out 15 hits in the game. Stu Sumner was 3-4 with a double and triple.

Mountoursville’s Adam Lorson went the first seven innings to pick up his second win of the season. He scattered eight hits and struck out three.

The Mountaineers play Findlay Friday morning.
