FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES SWEEP IN FORT MYERS – HOSHAUER HITS THIRD HOME RUN IN THREE DAYS

FT. MYERS, FL – Kane Stein picked up his second win of the season in the opener and D.J. Hoshauer hit his third home run in three days in the nightcap to lead Mansfield to a 7-2 win over C.W. Post and 11-5 victory over Findley at Fort Myers, FL Monday afternoon.

Stein scattered seven hits over six innings and struck out two in improving to 2-0 on the season. He was helped by a strong defensive effort that included four double plays. J.D. Farina and Travis Wurster each had two hits to key the offense with J.D. Druckenmiller hitting a solo home run.

Nate Jones picked up the win in the second game, going the first five innings before being relieved by Colby Rickabaugh. Hoshauer went 2-3 at the plate with a home run and four RBI’s. Brett Shockloss was 2-3 with two RBI’s while Travis Wurster knocked in three runs.

Mansfield improves to 4-3 on the season.
