FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNITES USE LONG BALL IN BEATING KENTUCKY WESLEYAN 10-5 IN FORT MYERS, FL

FORT MYERS, FL – Eric Baker went 4-4 with a home run and four RBI’s to power Mansfield to a 10-5 win over Kentucky Wesleyan Tuesday afternoon in Fort Myers, FL.

Nick Grove picked up his first win as a Mountaineer, scattering eight hits while striking out seven in pitching a complete game.

The Mountaineers scored once in the bottom of the first before exploding for five runs in the second keyed by Baker and D.J. Hoshauer’s back-to-back home runs. Baker’s was a three-run shot while Hosauer hit his fourth home run in four days and his fifth of the season.

Baker also had two doubles as the Mountaineers pounded out 14 hits. Mansfield improves to 5-3 on the season and face Central Missouri State and New Haven in night games on Wednesday.
