RELEASE DATE: 4/06/04 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES DROP DOUBLEHEADER AT LOCK HAVEN LOCK HAVEN The Mansfield University baseball team dropped a 6-2, 11-8 non-conference doubleheader at Lock Haven Tuesday afternoon. In the opener, Mansfield jumped out to a 2-0 in the top of the first inning and held that lead until Lock Haven erupted for five runs in the fifth inning. Josh Rearick singled to open the game and moved to third on a double by Brandon Brokaw. Rearick scored on an rbi by Eric Baker and Brokaw came in on a single by Dan Kochenderfer. D.J. Hoshauer went 3-4 from the plate with a double while Rearick was 2-4. In the nightcap pounded out 15 hits to Lock Havens eight, but committed seven errors. Eric Baker went 3-4 with two RBIs with Rearick, Hoshauer, Matt Mills and Travis Wurster each getting two hits. Mansfield falls to 18-13 overall and will travel to West Chester for a key PSAC East doubleheader on Friday.
