FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mountaineer Athletics Prepared to Host Bevy of Summer Camps

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University Athletics department is prepared to host a bevy of annual summer camps once again this summer.

The Mountaineer summer camps have become some of the most renowned in the state in previous years, headlined by Harry Hillson's barrage of camps, clinics and summer baseball tournaments.

2007 will be no different for the Mountaineer baseball program as a full lineup of camps and tourneys will keep take place throughout the entire summer.

One of the highpoints of every summer at Mansfield is the annual Joel-Stephens Wood Bat Invitational. The Stephens is set to take place the last weekend of June this year.

Mansfield basketball camps have grown over the past years and both the men's and women's programs have teamed up to host camps and tournaments throughout the summer.

Head soccer coach Tim Dempsey has worked hard over the last few years to develop the soccer camp program at Mansfield. With more success each year, Dempsey looks forward to a successful summer session.

Softball coach Edith Gallagher will host her popular summer camps throughout the summer while Mansfield will team up with Lock Haven to provide volleyball camps.

Athletic Director Roger Maisner will carry on the annual tennis summer camp as well.
